Happy New Year!

It's a new year (yet AGAIN!) and as usual, I just can't help but notice how fast the last one went. Then I think about all I want to do this year and how fast it will probably go too! Actually, I enjoy the new year as it is a chance to assess things from the past year and figure out what I want to do this year. And, I want to do a lot this year!

Wrapping Up Christmas

Terrible pun, I know, but I wanted to get a picture of my daughter Kelly (that's Will standing behind Kelly) in this and catch up the remaining Christmas celebration we had. Kelly and Will were able to come to our house on Saturday the 27th of December and we had our Christmas with them then.

Kelly started a tradition several years ago of making Christmas cookies for everyone as part of her Christmas presents to everyone. We always look forward to Kelly's Christmas Cookies. For the last couple of years, she has had help from her step-daughters, Brittany and Bridget, and they have pretty much taken over the task. The cookies are soooooooo good!

Kelly and Will were here, along with Deb, me and her Mom (Elizabeth), plus TJ, Criesta and the kids (that's Deb & Joey in the picture to the left). We spent the day talking and opening presents and had a lot of fun. Oh, and Jordan told Kelly that she had to wear the tiara for the day!

Celebrating New Year's

Big party animals that we are (NOT!), we went to an early dinner—more like a lunch, really—and were home to watch movies before it even got dark. All of us have had colds, so none of us made it until midnight. New Year's has never been a big event for us, so we didn't really plan on doing much and didn't!

The New Year

2009—who can even believe it? I just get used to writing one year and they go and change it on me and I have to re-learn it all over again!

I hope some of you out there who got our Christmas letter are and will be following this as it is my way of keeping in touch with folks.

Lots to do and lots to learn... Now if I can just get rid of this damn cold!

Speaking of cold, I just got this from a friend back in the Buffalo area and had to put it in this as it gave me a good chuckle:

A Winter Statistic

98% of Americans say 'OH SHIT' before going in the ditch on a slippery road.

The other 2% are from Buffalo, NY, and they say, 'Hold my beer and watch this.'

Hope you got a kick out of that too!
