More About 2010 Census Job

My last couple of weeks has been taken up a lot with the 2010 Census job. I have been learning about the new job, going around to various locations in Placerville locating facilities we can use for testing, and distributing flyers and brochures.

I have also helped in a couple of testing sessions. The testing process from my point of view makes for some pretty busy days. Of course, I'm just learning about how to facilitate the testing of potential census-takers so I'm giving myself some slack. Luckily, I have good, knowledgeable folks who are helping me!

It seems that folks who come in to the testing sessions to fill out the application and take the test are very positive about the potential for a good part-time job—and that makes my job as the person administering the test easier.

Anyone interested in applying for one of the part-time jobs can find out more information online or you can call 1-866-861-2010.

The website actually has forms that you can download and fill out before you come to the testing site and it has practice tests to help you prepare for what the actual test is like. People coming to take the test also need to make sure they have two forms of identification—you can see what those forms of ID need to be in one of the links below. Here are a few links:
As time goes by, I'll keep you posted as to my experience doing this job as a Recruiting Assistant for the 2010 Census.
