Studio Tour Tales

Getting ready for the PAA Studio Tour is no small feat! There are many of us from Gold Country Artists Gallery who are "doing" the tour (25 out of our 50 artists). One of those people is me!

The Studio Tour happens around here each fall and this year there are 87 artists in 35 different locations around the western part of El Dorado County. The tour takes place on September 20 & 21 and 27 & 28 from 10 am to 5 pm each day. I will be showing my work at Lu Lobue's home. There will be 5 of us at Lu's home: Lu, Tony Lobue (Lu's husband), Pam Snyder, Dianna Schwierzke, and me. And, it's worth coming just to see Lu's "back yard park!"

Preparation for the Studio Tour (as far as getting your work ready), is really heavy during this last week. We are all desperately trying to get that one last picture or card done to our liking and (hopefully) some customer out there who will be doing the tour. I've been working on new pieces and will have them at my spot on the tour, so I hope you can come and see me!
The piece in the upper-left corner of this blog is called "Roses Are Red" and the piece to the right is tentatively called "Magic Light", just to whet your appetite for more!

Oh, and by the way, you can get the Studio Tour
2008 guide at Gold Country Artists Gallery ($6). The guide is your map and ticket to the tour.

Hope to see you on the 2008 Studio Tour!
